i had my thermostat changed the other day, and once they steam cleaned the engine they said they noticed a chugging while test driving it. it stopped for a little bit, but now the check engine light is on, and it runs and accelerates like crap. but it ran perfectly before i had the thermostat changed.

Hello John, They steam cleaned the engine ? What is happening is a spark plug missfiring because of a shorted wire 4.6L or coil on 5.4L. Get a test performed and replace the faulity coil(s) and plug(s) and don't let anyone steam clean or get water on top of the engine area again. Hope this helps Thanks Tony
