Ford Repair: Chimes on Ford 2007 Cargo Van, key cylinder, best bet

Hello,
I just purchased a Ford 2007 Cargo Van model E250 and I can't get the chime to stop.  I found in the manual how to turn off the Beltminder, but do you have any suggestions for the ignition chime (when the key is in it) and when the door is open (other than taping the sensor button down)?  I'd like to get rid of the chime all together if I could.  Any suggestions?

If I understand you correctly, there is not a fault in the system, but you prefer not to have the key chime? I do not know of a method for turning this off, it may involve removing the switch from the key cylinder. However, this vehicle is very module dependent, so removing that switch might cause other problems.

In the case that the chime is on when it shouldn't be, your best bet is having a Ford technician  check it with a scanner as everything goes thru one module or another.
