Ford Repair: taurus supercharger/performance, ford taurus lx, cold air intake

Question
Is there any way to supercharge a 1998 ford taurus lx? Are there any other model cars with superchargers that will fit the taurus lx? If not, what are some other ways to add some decent horsepower gains to the taurus lx? Any info you can give would be awesome!

  To be honest, the only Tauruses that have any kind of aftermarket support are the SHOs.  I don't know of any products that offer any real gains for other Taurus models.  I suppose you could have the exhaust done along with adding a cold air intake and having the computer tuned with a chip...but all of that together would probably get you 20 extra horsepower or so...if you're lucky.  Unfortunately the Taurus has always been a sort of "A to B" transportation kind of car and aside from the SHOs they never had much of a performance following.  Hope this helps.
