QuestionReplaced front disc brakes plus rotors Jan 07. DS rotor new and PS turned. New disc pads.
June 23,2007: notice grinding noise from the front, inspected and found that the front disc pads are completely worn down, rotors are severely grooved/worn. I don;t believe they can be turned.
1. Why have the disc pads worn down in 6 months?
2. what are possible causes?
AnswerBefore I can answer this one, I'd like to know just a few things...
How many miles did you accumulate in that time?
Have there been any other concerns with the brakes such as spongy pedal, pulling to one side, etc?
Are all 4 pads worn down or is there just one or two down to the metal and plenty of pad on the others?
