Ford Repair: 1990 Ford Tempo Oil Leak, valve cover gasket, ford tempo

Question
It looks like I have a leak around the valve cover.  Also, the bolts seem to be leaking oil around them.  Do I need to replace the gasket and the bolts?  If so, how do I do this?

Answer
You'll need to go to a parts store and order a valve cover gasket set, it will have all you need.  If you go to a ford dealer, they will try to sell you a whole valve cover (they don't sell just the gasket).  The bolts will not need replacement-- with a new gasket installed they will have enough tension to make the grommets seal again.  If you live in a cold climate, replace the PCV valve as well-- they had problems with them freezing up and then oil is pushed out of the engine.  Hope this helps,
