Ford Repair: 2005 Gr Marquis vibration problem, vibration problem, engine mounts

Question
My Mercury has only 22,000 miles ...it has a small. but very annoying vibration in the motor. The dealer has looked at it 3 times, and agrees there is a vibration ,but doesnt know what's causing it.What can be causing this? Engine runs fine other than the vibration.

Answer
On some vehicles you can "neutralize" the engine mounts by loosening them up, rocking the engine by hand so it settles in to a "neutral" spot, and re-tightening the mounts.  If it's running good that's probably a good place to start.  It's also possible that the car got a bad engine mount but I'm sure they checked for that already.  Hope this helps,
