Question
i began loosing power, temperture running higher than normal, smelling like its flooded, 3 days ago began skipping badly. today i changed pluges and wires.no change in running condition, missing #1 cylinder fouling#1 plug others running lean non wet.please help, thanks

Answer
Since the #1 was fouled I'm going to assume it does have spark at that cylinder and is running very rich on that cylinder.  Let's start simple, tap on the #1 fuel injector while it's running, if that injector is stuck open, that could free it up and correct the problem, at least for awhile.  Locate the fuel pressure regulator-- a round object attached to the fuel rail with a plastic or rubber tube attached to it- and remove that tube with the engine OFF.  It should be dry, if it has any gas in it you'll need a new regulator. If that doesn't help, hook a test light to the #1 injector's electrical plug to see if it's being turned on when it shouldn't.  With the engine off, the test light should be off.  With the engine cranking or running, the test light should blink on and off. Let me know what you find.
