Ford Repair: ford 5-speed manual tranny, ford f 150, speed shifter

1991 ford f-150 four wheel drive 4.9ltr 6cyl engine My stepson kicked the 5-speed shifter towards the drivers side now the engine winds out but the truck barely moves the clutch is fine what do i need to order the transmission? The linkage is non adjustable. thank you

Hello John,
    You may have to remove the shift tower assembly(the whole top plate of the trans.) and check for broken parts. As far as I know, everything you should need will still be available. The easiest way will probably to drop the crossmember out and lower the trans. down, but remove the actual shifter from inside the truck first. Hopefully you won't have to fully remove the transmission.
