Ford Repair: 2000 F150 - Door locks not working, external keypad, actual systems

Question
I installed a aftermarket car alarm in my truck. I installed per the instructions. I had not problem with the power lock but now they are not locking or unlocking correctly. Please note that I had a OEM keyless entry installed. I even disconnected the alarm and tried the keyless entry remote and the external keypad and it works intermittent. Is there a relay between the Keyless entry and the door actuators?

Answer
Hey Chris,
I have seen the actuators fail at the same time, or close to it, because with keyless entry, they always move together.
Do they go halfway up sometimes, and then sometimes not at all?
I will admit that I am not a fan of aftermarket alarm systems, and am not an expert on the actual systems themselves, and don't actually install them. If you bypassed it properly, the fact that they don't work is a sign the actuators are bad or there is a problem with the GEM module(controls many things on the vehicle including the lights). I believe there is not an actual relay for the locks anymore. Good luck and I hope this helps you!      Shaun.
