Ford Repair: 96 Ford Contour Head Light, ford contour, rubbing compound

Question
Hello. I have a 96 Ford Contour.. I feel that the headlights are not bright enough... I tried the 96000 or something from Canadian tire... which is supposed to be the most powerful head light lamp but is not helpful. The original are "YELLOW" lights.

Any suggestions on how to get the lamp bright enough ???

Answer
I would recommend that you either use a light rubbing compound to bring the original headlamp housings back to life, or replace them with new. No matter how good the bulbs are, sometimes they can't overcome what they are shining through. Moisture in the headlamp housings can reduce  their effect also. Shaun.
