Ford Repair: 1983 ford bronco motor oil, ford bronco, 5w30

which motor oil is best for my 1983 bronco? 5w30 or 5w20? and which brand? thanks.

  Well I suppose if you were going with a 5 weight oil then 5w30 would be my choice.  That said, I'd recommend going with something more like a 10w30.  Some people will recommend 5 weight oils because they supposedly make more power due to the fact that it's thinner.  While that's true, the 2 horsepower you pick up isn't worth the added wear on your engine resulting from an oil that isn't thick enough.  Hope this helps.
