to remove the larg nut on center of pump pully, witch way do i turn to remove

Bobby, I am guessing that you are trying to take off the fan clutch.  You will have to brace the clutch itself, or you will never get the nut off.  You can buy or rent a fan clutch removal tool from your local parts store.  If you have enough room, you can use a cresent wrench and have a buddy hold the fan clutch by using a closed-end wrench (this is very difficult however).  To answer your question, you should turn it counter-clockwise (I don't know the year, make and model, but most of them are counter-clockwise).   Good luck,   Jason
