Car Alarms: alarm system went off?!, honda accord, alarm systems

My Honda Accord 2004 started to honk and along with flashing of the headlights after I've locked my car.  If I unlock and lock it again, then it will stop honking.  However, it will come again after a few min.  But I realize that if I am to leave the door unlocked or lift up the front hood, it will not honk. I've brought my car to the dealer shop the other day, and they warned me that it is possible to take them many hours to find out the problem, and they are charging for $105 per hr.  So, I was afraid to pay a thousand dollars just to fix the car.... what is your advise?!
