Answer
Michael, You need to start by diagnosing where you have elcectricity.  The first place to start is the starter.  You should have fire going to the hot wire on the starter.  From there, I would go to the ignition coil.  Turn the key to the "on" position and check to see if there is any electricity on the positive side of the coil.  If there is not, then check the wiring that leads to it.  If everything is okay, then I would remove the ignition control module (it is on the firewall) and take it to your local parts store and have them check it.  To be honest, from your decription, it really sounds like  the module, or you have lost ground somewhere.  The only other thing that it could be is the ignition switch, but when it goes out, it generally will not let the lights come on in the cab, dash, etc.  Basically, you just lose everything.  I hope this helps, Jason.

p.s.  If you try the module and it doesn't work, let me know.
