Ford Repair: leaf spring question, u bolt, u bolts

I have a 84 ranger pickup.  2 years ago I had new leaf springs put in as the old ones were shot. Now the bottom spring on both sides is not in line with the top bunch - on both sides - they are at an angle.  This doesn't seem right to me - should they all be lined up straight? I moved across country so cant bring it back to the guy that did it.  any suggestions how to fix it?  thanks alot - CJ

Cary, it sounds to me like the U-bolt that holds the springs to the axle has loosened up.  You might want to take a large hammer and knock them back in place.  Then check your U-bolts and make sure they are tight.  Depending on how much room you have, you could add another U-bolt to help.  If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask.  I hope this helps,   Jason
