Ford Repair: 94 f150 4x4, throttle position sensor, stranger things

Question
QUESTION: the trucks starts on the dime all the time, but after making a few runs , i get in the engine will not turn over, the starters good, so i sit for a half hour ,then i turn the key and it starts, sometime when im driving for a while the engine jerks and shuts off ,sit for a while turn the key it starts. Only if its sits it will start
ANSWER: Derrell, this first thing that comes to mind is the ignition coil.  If you don't mind throwing money at the truck, replace it.  You can test it with multi-meter, or you can take it to your local parts store and if they have someone there who knows what they are doing, they can test it.  I hope this helps, Jason.   p.s.  Let me know what comes of it.

Answer
Derrell, if you have replaced the ignition coil, then you have replaced just about the only thing that I could tell you to do.  However, there is a part on your distributor that could cause this.  It is called a pick-up coil.  They don't usually go out on your year model, but stranger things have happened.  I would suggest trying this, but I don't think that they are inexpensive.  Good luck,   Jason
