Land Rover Repair: 2000 range rover 4.6 SHE, autologic land rover, rovers north

Question
I have a 2000 range rover that shakes when the vehicle goes over 35 mph. Not just the normal tire shake, but the whole vehicle shakes uncontrollable. One of the sensors on the truck says that the vehicle shouldnt go over 35mph. I was trying to sale the vehicle, but i want to get the shaking problem get fixed. I'm not ruling out the tires could be a problem. But I was hoping that its not the problem, that the air ride system on the truck would be the problem. PLEASE HELP.....

Answer
If it says "Slow 35 MPH" that probably means the air suspension has failed, and you are riding what is essentially an oxcart with no suspension.  If so, you could spend 1500-2000 and convert to coil springs, or spend an indeterminate amount to fix the air suspension.  I usually recommend conversion because that puts an end to suspension trouble and the air system gets very problematic as it ages.  You can buy conversion kits online from Atlantic British or Rovers North

Fixing the system will require a specialist shop with the T4 or Autologic Land Rover testers, but anyone can convert the suspension to coil springs with ordinary workshop hand tools.
