Ford Repair: 1992 Ford Probe, ford probe, luck chris

I just bought a 92 ford probe and the passenger side passive seat belt will not move. I could move it a little by hand. It was stuck in the middle posistion, I moved it to the lower position(torwards the front of the car.) I seen the track line sticking out a little bit and i pushed it back into track. It still won't work, do you have any ideas??  Please and Thank-you  Dave

Hi Dave thanks for asking and sorry about the delay. I have been really busy. It sounds like the ratcheting mechanism is all messed up, I would just go to a local scap yard and find a seat belt assembly that matches. shouldnt be very much, maby around 50 bucks. It is fairly simple to install if you wana do this yourself, You just have to remove the panel on the piller, and there is usualy one large 19mm nut holding the assembly in place. when you see it it is pretty self explaining.
