Ford Repair: 1997 Ford Expedition Anti-Theft problem, explenation, luck chris

Question
I changed out my heater core.  All went well...less 30 small cuts covering both hands.

Put everything back together and all seems well...

The engine won't turn-over.

Yes--fuel shut-off button is depressed.

I am pretty sure that all cables are back in place...but this is the only problem I see: the "Theft" light does not light in the instrument cluster.  All other lights seem to be lighting.

The starter is cranking, I can hear the fuel pump "hissing" in the tank.

What can cause the led not to illuminate in the "IP Cluster"?

Any help will be soooo appreciated...

Eric

Answer
Hi Eric thanks for asking, and sorry about the delay.
I think there must be something you forgot to plug in, that is the only explenation for this. The secutity light should only come on if it noticed a key in the ignition that is not programed for that vehicle. And when you would try to crank the engine the light will flash. But this is not the case. Go over everything you removed in this vehicle and make sure everything is tight, in proper order, and make sure all electriacl is connected. If you do not see any problems get back to me and I will try to help you some more
good luck
