Ford Repair: cant turn car off, steering colum, ford taurus

Question
Hello Chris, I have a 1994 ford taurus sho and I can't seem to shut it off. I replaced the ignition lock and the starter switch and no change.I think the pin inside the steering column is broke. It starts up fine but there is no catch when turning the key off.Is there an easy way to fix this?Right now I have to manually operate the switch so it's not bolted but to the column. Can this be fixed inside the car and where do I find the pin to replace in the column?

Answer
Hi Scoth thanks for asking. And sorry about the delay.
I have seen this befor and i always have a horrible time trying to find that pin. I ended up getting a used steering colum from a local wrecking yard for fairly cheap. Its not to often that they break so a used colum should be Ok. The pin  usualy breaks half way up the columb when they do break and is an extreme pain to change.
good luck
