Ford Repair: gages dead truck dies, altenator, luck chris

2002 F-250 4x4 V-10 all dash gages are dead (no readings at all) also alternator is not charging battery changed alternator and battery alternator seemed to be puting out power but truck died when battery went dead. If it is allowed to sit for 15 , 20 min it will start and run for a bit. This truck is being used as a plow truck and very busy right now this is when problem showed up. Is there a conection of some kind with gages being dead and alternator output ( relay of fuse )

There is a fuse set on the charging system, according to a manual it is one nder the hood. this could also be a bad ground or something is not getting power. if it only runs for a little bit then the altenator is defintly not charging. check all the fuses and ground staps get back to me if you cant find theses.
