Ford Repair: 98 Ford Taurus, ford taurus, heater core

I was wonderind if you could help me. Okay my mom has a 98 Taurus and her heater doesn't work but her air does we checked the coolant,fuses and the thermostat. Do you have any idea what else it could be. THANK YOU.

Ford apparently has a problem with this. I have gotten tons of complaints on Taurus with no heat.  There is a plastic blend air door inside the A/C box under the dash. The door breaks and it can not direct air across the heater core.  To repair it the dash needs to be removed.
