Ford Repair: 1999 ford ranger problem, abs sensor, ford ranger

Question
I have a '99 ford ranger and a problem has developed. symptoms: abs light is on, doesn't shift properly, speedometer and odometer don't work, and overdrive light blinks on and off.
I bought a speed sensor, but the guy i took it to to change says it doesn't have an external, that my truck may be '99/'00? any suggestions?

Answer
Hi Michael,
Replace the ABS sensor in the top of the rear end and your problems should go away. If not you will need to take it to your mechanic and have him use his scan tool to pull the codes from the ABS computer. GOOD LUCK!!
