Ford Repair: 96 ford contour anti theft reset, ford contour, lock cylinder

My 96 ford contour with a 2.0 will turn over with spark and is getting gas but wont start. The drivers side door is stuck in the locked position and wont close. I'm looking for the reset for the anti theft device that i think is the problem. I woke one morning to find the door open and signs of where someone tryed to use a screwdriver to start it. My key still fits in the ignition, and the car sounds like it wants to start but dont. Can you help me reset this?

Does your anti-theft light flash constantly when you try to start it?  Usually when the anti-theft has kicked in the engine won't even crank over.  I am not sure if 96 is new enough to have the ford PATS system or not, but there is usually an antenna around the lock cylinder to detect the key. It may have been damaged by the break in.
