I have a 98 Ford Taurus that will not blow out cold air and I was wondering if it was the heater core thats causing the problem or something else. thx

No, the heater core will not cause a lack of cold air. If you have air conditioning there could be a problem in that system, otherwise the blend door that controls the temperature ouput may be broken or inoperative. Depends on if yours is a manual system or automatic as to diagnosis.
