Ford Repair: 2001 Ranger Super firewall question., side kick panel, gromits

Question
(My ranger is a "Ranger Super" by the documentation, does not have an XLT/XL/XT badgings.  Its the 'super cab', Manual transmission, RWD)

I know your profile states no questions about electronics.  And while I am trying to run a power line, I don't need electrical knowledge in this case.  I'm trying to find a way through the firewall to run a power line for my ham radio.  I cannot find any visible gromits.  I know there are two entrances through the body, via the back side panels, however, that means running the power cable a -very- long way, relative.   Is there a decent place to look for a firewall pass through?    Thank you.

Answer
Ryan-

If it were me I'd go through the passenger side kick panel (the interior piece just in front of the door and under the dash).  That's where the truck's computer is and should provide relatively easy access through the firewall since all of the computer's wiring has to go through there anyway.  Hope this helps.
