Ford Repair: Door-lock Actuator Change, door latch, power locks

Question
I am trying to install new actuators on my power locks in my 2000 Ranger.  I removed my door panel and looked in there.  I have no idea how to remove the old one.  It is very hard to get to.  Do you have any direction for me?

Answer
You will probably find it easier to replace the actuator after removing the door latch. Most actuators are held to the door with a 1/4" rivet that will have to be drilled out, but the way the linkage is made it is almost impossible to remove unless you have done many and figured out the shortcuts.
