Ford Repair: 2002 Ford Explorer Blender Box, dash board, ford explorer

Question
Hi,
I recently took my 2002 Explorer into our local garage to get it checked for a clicking noise that was coming from under the dash.  The clicking noise would only happen when I turned the temperature knob from anything BUT cold air.  They told me it was the heater/blender box and that it would cost a lot to repair because they would have to take out the whole dash board.  I was wondering if there is anyway they could possibly fix this without removing the dashboard or if they could go through the glove box?  Thanks for your time!

Keri-

Unfortunately for that model your only option is really just to take the dash out.  As crazy as it sounds, trying to go in under or around the dash usually actually takes longer and costs more in labor.  I'm sure that's not what you wanted to hear, but you may just have to bite the bullet on this one.  Hope this helps.
