Question
The signal lights on my 1997 Ford Taurus just stopped working, the lights on the panel when turning on the dignal lights dont come on nor does the lights outside when turning on the signal lights, the hazard lights dont work ewither, they were fine until one day they just stopped working,  I have checked all fuses and I have no clue as why that happened, can you please help me.  Thank You.

Answer
Most common failure for this is the multi-function switch that operates the turn signals, wipers, and also the high beam headlamps. If you try the wipers you will probably find something that doesn't work, usually the intermittent part. The contacts in the switch corrode or wear out. This switch is just below the steering wheel, have to remove the trim at the top of the steering column. The turn signal/wiper switch handle is part of this switch.
