Question
Has inj 302 the car overheated and was shut down. It could not be started after that and right now the condition is no spark. Lower rad hose blew on the highway. Is there any common issues with no spark

Answer
You can check distributor operation two ways: remove the cap, make sure the dist. shaft is turning. Overheating on something this old could cause a failure of the timing chain, which will throw the timing off. Test the dist. electrics with a 12V test light, probe the terminals on the coil, one side should have battery voltage with the key on, the other side (green wire?) will blink if it is working. If it doesn't blink while cranking then you should replace the TFI ignition module, and the stator inside the dist.
