Ford Repair: Engine removal, flex joint, bell housing

Question
I have a 1990 Ford Ranger Ext Cab, it has a 4.0 engine with an automatic tannsmission, I need to pull this motor and have ran into a snag, how do you remove the 13 mm bolt in the bell housing above the oil filter and the one directly across from it on the driverside, I can't find away to get to it with a socket and ratchet because of the firewall and if I get a boxed end wrench on it I have no way to get enough leverage to break the bolt loose.

Answer
You may have to drop the transmission cross member, then lower the trans enough to get a socket up there with a flex joint. You will also need a long extension.
Take these bolts out first, then put the crossmember back and proceed with engine removal.
