Ford Repair: windstar air conditioning, windstars, incoming air

Question
Hello my 98 windstar's air conditioner only blows cold air from the rear vents the air from the front is warm the fan is blowing fine just no cold air
thanks for any help

Answer
Windstars are common for blend door failures, either the door motor, or the door itself. This door is what mixes the incoming air to heat or cool depending on your setting of the control. The front blend door motor is accessible thru the area below the center of the dash. It may require some bending to get to, but it is replaceable without removing much of the trim. If the door is broken, the repair is much more intensive.
