Ford Repair: Screeching Explorer, light curves, car expert

Question
I have a '95 Explorer. Anytime I make a right turn, I get an awful metallic screeching sound--with or without the brakes. I also get a lighter screech--still audible over the engine and radio though--when I'm driving straight or through light curves at 30 mph or less.

Previously my repair shop has had to machine the rotors and replace a ball joint and tie-rod. I'm no car expert at all, so I don't even know if those would be related to this issue. Also, my parents had this car for awhile, and I'm pretty certain the transmission fluid hasn't been replaced in quite sometime, so maybe there's a connection there?

Any ideas? The car itself runs fine as far as I can tell--I just want to be able to drive the darn thing without wearing a gun muffler. Thanks a lot.

Answer
I would have your power steering pump checked, and all your belts on the engine.. Its possible the belt could be glazed from wear, and maybe a bad pump also.. Your vehicle his about 11 years old, so have this checked out.. As for the transmission, it wouldnt make that kinda noise, but I always reccommend having the trans fluid changed every 30 thousand miles.. Thanks..
