Ford Repair: Overheating, taurus gl, car overheats

Question
I have a 1997 Taurus GL with a 3.0.I drive 60 miles on the interstate to and from work. When I am driving 70 or 75 my car does fine but when I slow down or stop my temp rapidly goes up and my car overheats. If I go from interstate speed to 35-45 mph my temp goes up but maintains as long as I am moving but when I stop or if I have to slow to 10-15 mph it overheats.

Answer
First of all you should check and make sure your coolant is full, and also make sure your radiator fan comes on when the vehicle is at operation temp. What happens when your driving at 70mph,, the air cool downs the engine but when your driving slower, their isnt much air to cool the engine down.. Take a closer look at it.. Thanks...
