Ford Repair: 94 F-150, btdc, cruise control

I have 94 F-150 with 4.9l get a surge  periodically when driving between 45 & 65  even with cruise control on engine has 250,000 miles on it changed cap rotor wires plugs and ignition coil recently but surge is still present drive about 100 miles on expressway a day so the majority of miles are highway when driving under 35 really don't notice a surge if you have an idea would be much appreciated also pulled codes got short in spout connector could you explain what is meant by that

If you remember the code, I can better help you. Sounds to me like you might have an EGR problem which is causing your symptom. Have you checked the timing? It should be 10 degreees BTDC with the spout disconnected. How about the fuel filter or fuel pressure?
