Ford Repair: 1991 Falcon cutting out when driving., engine cranks, ford falcon

Question
Hi, I hope you can help with the Australian fords as well. But anyway, I am having an intermittant problem with my 1991 Ford Falcon (3.9 EFI) with the engine cutting out (usually after about 15mins of driving). When trying to start again, the engine cranks over but does not fire up. I have got the electrics, computer and some of the fuel system checked and tested at the shop and all seemed OK.  The mechanic  could only resolve that it may have been a bad batch of fuel.

But this is happenning more frequently now.  Putting fuel and injector treatment in the tank does seem to help for a while but it has not stopped the problem from occuring. The level of fuel does not seem to matter either. Usually if I leave the car for an extended time (eg: overnight) the car usually starts in the morning again.

Just wondering if there are any tips you can give me on where to start looking.  Please feel free to email me regarding any questions or information.

Thanks very much

Answer
You could have a weak fuel pump, or dirty fuel filter, you should have this checked. You may also have a igntion problem where as when the vehicle gets hot the coil pack quits working until its cooled down. You should have these areas checked... Thanks..
