Ford Repair: antilock brakes, caliper piston, crown vic

Question
I have a 94 crown vic with antilock brakes.i want to change the front brake pads and wanted to know if it is done the same way as a regular breake system w/o antilock brakes or is there something different that you have to do when you push the caliper piston back? thanks

Answer
As long as you don't leak any brake fluid or get air in the system, it is the same as any other disc brake. Just be aware there is a sensor and sensor ring behind the rotor, but just taking the rotor off shouldn't interfere with those parts. Of course if you are replacing the rotors be sure to tell them you have abs, sometimes the rotors are different. Good luck
