Ford Repair: What Oil, ford ka2, 5w30

Question
Hi there,
Sorry to ask such a simple question.
I have bought a Ford Ka2 1997. It did not come with a handbook.

Please if you know could you tell me the best type of oil to put in my car as the oil light keeps flashing and i've noticed there are lots of different types.

Thank you

I don't know much about Ka2's since they aren't sold in the US, but I'd imagine a 5w30 or 10w30 would work just fine.  I would also go with a fully synthetic oil.  Yes, it's a bit more expensive but it offers more protection and lets you cheat a bit if you can't change it out every 3000 miles.  I'd recommend Mobil 1, but it's probably among the more expensive brands.  Just so long as you don't get Pennzoil (Fords have a history of problems with their stuff), you should be ok.  Hope this helps.
