Ford Repair: 1997 ford taurus lx transmission, ford taurus lx, 1997 ford taurus

My transmission started acting up the other day...i was slowing down at the gas pupm and it lunged forward...stopped...than lunged forward again.  I checked the fluid levels and when i started to drive away, the engin reved to about 2000rpms and the tires than squeeled and took off.  since than the car has gotten progressively worse...i push the gas and it goes really slow than slowly speeds up.  i had a $130.00 flush done on it and they said that at first they didnt have "pressure" but the second time they did it...they said they started getting some but not much...they fluid looked like oil it was so black.  now the car moves fine for a second than stops moving all together.  but its wierd...when i put it in park and shut it off than start it again it starts off fine for a second than stopps moving.   What can i do...i dont have the $2800.00 to get a new transmission...is there any thing i can do???  PLEASE HELP A POOR COLLEGE STUDENT

There isn't much I can help you with. I sounds like a transmission failure and needs to be replaced/overhauled. Have you tried contacting a junk/salvage yard for a used transmission? Might be a place to start.
