Ford Repair: jerking, taures, octane ratings

hi erik, my girlfriend has a 1996 taures gl 4dr. i just got the transmission done fluid, gasket,
when the car slows down it seems to jerk. could this be the fuel filter? i have mixed the gases once or twice i've used 87&89 fuel

Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
Mixing of octane ratings won't cause this problem.
I would suggest a few things:
1. Check the over all tune up conditiong of the engine......does it need one?
2. Check Fuel Pressure.
3. Have the computer system checked for fault codes and repair as needed.
