1998 Ford Windstar, 80,000 miles, 4.3 I think. v6. No heat coming for defrost. Checked radiator fluid, full. Is there a thermostat and is it something I can change?

the engine is a 3.0L or a 3.8L.........which is it?

Sorry, it is a 3.8. My mistake, I had a brain fade and was thinking about my old Chevy pickup. You any where near Barnstable????

Before you replace the thermostat,,,is there heat coming from the vents at all, or from the heater? Or is it the defroster ducts that aren't getting heat?

There is no heat out the front defrost or floor vents. HOWEVER there IS heat coming out the vents by the sliding side doors! Separate heating systems perhaps?

No...there is only one cooling system. I think that you are having a blend door problem in the evaporator case. It's usually the electrical door motor that fails.
I would have a shop look in to it.
