Ford Repair: 1990 Ford Thunderbird SC, ford thunderbird sc, ford tbird

Question
Ford Blues,

I have a 1990 Ford TBird SC.  Replaced Radiator, Hoses, Water Pump and Thermostat.  When replacing Water pump, the car started overheating. The car would overheat after driving two or three miles.  Used relief valve to get air out of line. What is the best way to revive system or properly add coolant?

Answer
Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
These engines do not require a specific bleed procedure. After filling cooling system, start engine and allow to reach operating temperature with radiator cap removed. Air in system will then be automatically bled through cap opening.
Re-check your work........maybe replace the thermostat, again?
