Ford Repair: Hi, Erik: This morning..., crankcase ventilation, engine crankcase

Question

Hi, Erik:

This morning I checked my car (Mercury, Topaz, 1992) (Engine : 2.3 HSC EFI) and found that one end of my car's crankcase ventilation hose seems drops from somewhere. (I guess it should be connected to air cleaner)

The other end of  crankcase ventilation hose is connected to a 'filter' and then
through that filter through the grommet into the engine crankcase.

Does you know what is that "filter"? Is it "brether filter" in the PCV system?
I see oil seepage from this filter , how to fix it?

Also, how to prevent "crankcase ventilation hose" drop again? Need I to get some hose clamps?

If you need , I can send picture to you,

Thanks,

Rick

Answer
Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
I wish I could help you, but with out seeing it......it's difficult at best. Look in the engine compartment and try to locate the positin of the hose and use clamps to hold it in place once found.
