Ford Repair: Stalling on 1998 Ford Windstar, ford windstar, thanks alot

Hi Eric:
I have a '98 Windstar with a 3.8L. High miles, but had local Ford Dealer go all through it this spring, full tune, etc. Lately, as I brake to a stop the RPM's go low enough to stall it. Took it back to Ford, they drove it and it wouldn't die for them. They said a new EGR might be needed. Is this something I could install myself? I'm sick of throwing $ at them. Let me know, and thanks alot.

Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help. With out knowing what codes were pulled from the computer or even if a test was done, I can't say IF it should be replaced or not. I would suggest that you bring it to a different garage for diagnosis and repair.
