Ford Repair: Ford Windstar, freeway speeds, neighborhood streets

Question
My Windstar 2000 has started to miss when driving on freeway speeds. It drives and feels like it loses power and kicks back in. At neighborhood streets it feels like it wants to kill but kicks back in runs a bit and does it again. The check engine light is on and I had it scanned and was told we had a leaky valve cover. The check engine light was on we had it scanned and reset and it came back on  weeks before the problem started with the feeling of missing while freeway driving. I was told the light might come back on but it would not harm to drive it.

Answer
Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
Take my advice.....go to another garage to have it looked at. The whole reason there is a check engine light is there is to inform the driver that there is a problem and to tell him/her to get it fixed ASAP. This is not only good for your fuel economy, but good for the vehicle and air poloution as well.
