Ford Repair: 1990 bronco 11 parking brake, ford bronco, asym

I have a 1990 ford Bronco 11,v6, manual transmission, 5 speed.  The parking brake floor pedal will not stay engaged nor does it make the normally expected ratcheting sound however the parking brake will stop the vehicle.  How do I get it to stay engaged?  Thanks for your time.  Art

Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
I would go to Ford or at least call to see if your vehicle is involved in a active recall for the parking brake problem. There is a cam piece that needs to be installed. If it isn't involved........I hate to say this but the parking brake asym. will need to be replaced.
