Ford Repair: 1989 Ford Probe Passenger Window, dean harris, 1989 ford probe

Question
Hello, my wife has a 1989 Ford Probe w/an automatic transmission, 2.2 liter 12 valve engine.  The passenger side window, which is a manual crank, will not go back up.  I looked as best as I could into the door to see what I could do.  Behind the panel is a solid piece of sheet metal (no holes to repair areas that may become a problem) held on by screws or bolts and plastic clips.  The crank is hard to operate and will not bring the window back up, I suspect something attached to the crank is stripped. This is a relatively new window as the previous one was broken.  We can't take the car back to the people who replaced the window as we moved 1770 miles away.  How can this be repaired?  Thank you very much for your time and effort.

Answer
Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
With out being there and actually seeing what's wrong I couldn't say. Your best bet is to do a step by step diagnosis of it.....you might want to remove the drivers door panel and look in to that one since it is working and you can compare both sides.
Hope this helps,
Erik
