Ford Repair: 93 ford tarus fuel problem, ford tarus, pressure gauge

fuel pump is working but wont run unless you use starting fluid. runs until starting fluid is gone
what could be wrong?

Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
Saying the fuel pump is working is knowing what the fuel pressure is for certain. You need to verify what the exact fuel pressure is with a fuel injection pressure gauge. Then if it is with in spec. (around 38-41psi) I would look at the ignition system.
