Ford Repair: 1999 ford contour blend door, ford contour, heat work

 My a/c and heat work.. the problem is it will only come in through the defrost panels no matter what setting it is on. I live in the louisiana scorching heat and would like to stop cooling the windshield for 30 min. before we get relief! I think it could be a vacuum on the blend door. What are your thoughts on this, and if I am possibly correct,where is the blend door, and how can I get to it? 1999 ford contour se 2.0 (not a dohc)            Thank You so much for your time,

Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
I think you are on the right track....there blend door actuator motors...that use vacuum. You can remove the lower dash panel and look under to see them....pull one of the lines off and check to see IF you have a vacuum signal. If not, look to the engine compartment connection and go from there.
