Ford Repair: 1992 F150 Suspension, leaf spring shackles, rear leaf spring

Question
I recently purchased a 92 F150 with the straight 6 in it as a project/work truck.  It had been sitting outside behind a farmers house for a year.  The engine ran good and the tranny was good.  It needed brake work and an oil change, which I have done, as well as a new oil sending unit.

After accomplishing these items, I took it out for its maiden voyage after resurrection.  I had noticed the leaf spring shackles and perches were rusted, but thought they would be ok.  I was wrong.  I went about 1 mile when the left rear leaf spring shackle broke in  half.

So now to my plan of attack.  I would like to, initially, replace both perches and shackles, but the perches look rivoted to the frame.  I am thinking I can drill them out, find some replacement perches and shackles, and bolt the perches back on using a high tensile strength fitted bolt.

My question is 1)Where can I find the perches, and 2)am I just fooling myself into thinking this will work?

My end goal is to lift the frame and body 1.5 to 2 inces appiece and I want to make sure I am not setting myself up for failure.

Any help would be appreciated.  I need to get this back on the road as soon as possible, since I need to pull a horse trailer.

Thanks.

Answer
Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
Yes, the rear attatchment brackets can still be purchased from Ford........I got them for my 1992 Bronco.
To remove the rivets, you'll need to either cut them with a cut off tool or drill the centers out and then use an air hammer to remove the rest of the rivet head. Either way will work..........DO NOT use a torch.....it will weaken the frame structurally.
Hope this helps,
